My love of poetry runs deep in my family tree...

"Stories of a Butterfly" is a compilation of poems written across different eras of my life. Some speak of love, some of anger and rage, and others of the circumstances I've faced along the way. Each experience has shaped me into who I am today: Lola Girl-the poet.

Lola, the name I gave myself, is the persona behind these poems. She is unapologetic, bold, beautiful, dark, and at times raunchy. She is who she is...unapologetically.

She is me, and I am her.
