When life-like statues suddenly begin appearing all over the streets of New Orleans, the O.R.C. (Observe, Research, and Contain) Foundation sounds the alarm. Field agents Max and Javi are dispatched to investigate, expecting a routine anomaly. As if things weren't bad enough, Baron Samedi, the Lord of the Dead, is losing his patience, and if Max and Javi cannot find the souls, the Baron will reap the entire coastline to balance his ledger.

Armed with advanced tech and rudimentary magic, Max and Javi must navigate a realm where reality is a suggestion and the gods are playing a game of cosmic stakes.
