I felt the fear and cut the glass anyway!

I appreciated the encouragement in this book with a sensible view on safety. Very comprehensive and demystified instructions - lovely simple clear photographs. I read the book before doing a short but excellent course in copper foiling, and it also helped me to get the most out of the course, as I knew so many of the terms and techniques beforehand. A lovely book altogether, which helped this absolute beginner to enter the magic world of stained glass here in Ireland, accompanied by some great U.S. "can do"!

Almost a perfect work!

I am just beginning in stained glass and found the large color photos documenting each step of the process to be extremely helpful. This book is almost as good as having an instructor in the room with you. One additional item - when you go to buy your tools, ask about the Morton System for cutting glass - it's an excellent partner for applying what you learn in this work.

Excellent Beginner's Book

One year ago I saw this book in the store. I had no experience with stained glass, so I bought the book. Read it from cover to cover. Now I do commisioned work as well as sell in my town and other communities in my area. Definite 5 stars.

This book is the best one i've come across for beginners.

This book covers just about everything you need to know,i have 2-3 other books and they are good but this one has all their information plus a whole lot more, how to make a cheap tool rack, how to store your glass safely, what restrip is and heaps more.I highly recommend it as THE book to have. The patterns are real cool too with detailed step by step instructions and great tips.

Best Illustrations & a complete discussion of the topic

I've looked at a lot of stained glass how-to books, and this one is the best because it's modern, step-by-step, and has great illustrations and photographs. It's also got a number of good patterns, easy to more difficult, with tips and special instructions. This is the only how-to book on stained glass that I've actually used as a reference as I've been working my first leaded and copper foil projects.
