Book Overview

With this enchanting tale, Linda Lael Miller begins a delightful series centered around a bustling Montana stagecoach stop. For one young widow, Springwater Station is the place where dreams are waiting to come true--and love is about to bloom.

Evangeline Keating came west because she had to: after her husband's passing, she needed to build a new life for her young daughter, and marrying a stranger from Montana Territory was her best chance. After a difficult winter journey, she arrives at an isolated outpost called Springwater Station. But the handsome man who's come for her is not her husband-to-be, and Evangeline soon finds herself thrust into a most inconvenient--and highly improper--arrangement.

Scully Wainwright never intended to be left alone with his ranching partner's fianc e. But his partner's not due back until spring, and he can't leave a defenseless woman and her child unguarded--not with wolves and Indians threatening. Biding his time with the lovely Evangeline begins to feel dangerously close to setting up a real home. But as a reckless passion sparks between them, Scully and Evangeline discover a destiny--and a passion--as boundless as the open frontier.

Miller is great with the Western themes

Enjoyable, moves along well, characters are interesting. Miller is one of my favorite authors.

ANOTHER WINNER

I find that when Miller writes a series the first is ALWAYS the best. This story is wonderful! There is very little going on in this book but the relationship between the two main charectors. Very little substory lines. Just these two stuck together in a cabin TRYING NOT TO FALL IN LOVE for 6 monthsI! I LOVED IT! GREAT WRITING! THE SPRINGWATER SEASONS are good also, but a bit rushed and way too short, But Enjoyable all the same.

Loved it

I really enjoyed this book. Classic historical romance. Lots of refernces to the cooking of teh period which I enjoy. Its a fast read cover to cover. I felt the chemistry between Scully and Eve immediately and I could feel my worries for them as I read on. I really enjoyed the relationship between Scully and Eve's daughter Abigail. Alot of times children arent fully developed charachters but I cant wait to read Abigail's story in the future.

An enjoyable read...

Springwater was a very enjoyable read. Evangeline arrives in Springwater with the intentions of marrying Big John who is the cousin of her recently departed husband. When Scully rides up to the station she learns that Big John had to leave town & is not expected back until Spring. Scully is Big John's partner & has promised to look out for Evangeline & her daughter until Big John arrives. Evangeline & Scully quickly realize that they wish to marry each other but neither one is willing to break their promise to Big John. What happens when Big John arrives? You'll have to read to find out. I highly recommend this book. Although it is not a steamy romance it's a good story & a fast read. It is the first book in the Springwater series.

The first book in a series you won't be able to put down.

This book keeps your attention from front to back. Ms. Miller truly makes you feel a part of Spring Water and the building of this town. This book makes you feel good to read it. Very entertaining..I love reading about previous characters as their lives build beyond their book. I'm looking forward to the second book in this Wonderful Series..and the other four to follow.
