Excellent book for every woodworker

I just got into woodworking and needed to read up on how to spray my first project. Andy Charron's book is well written and a great item for your bookshelf. I reference it often and is a great gift idea for the woodworker in your life.

HVLP spraying

I just recently bought a HVLP spray gun and need to understand how to use it properly and this book was recommended to me as a good guide and it is. Beyond that I learned a lot about the basics of spray finishing and paints and stains. I have been using a high pressure spray gun for years and now I understand why I had problems occasionally, wish I had this book then. The book also explains the easy way to clean up after spraying, which is always the job I hate. All around good book on the basics.

Great for Beginners

I bought this book recently when I got into HVLP spraying. It's a great introduction to techniques, equipment and safety. The tip that the tip of a HVLP gun tends to get blocked quickly when spraying water-based finishes is worth the price alone!

I am in the market for a HVLP sprayer. I have been reserching for over a month. I have been talking to manufacturers and some users. Then I bought this book and found the author started out as I did. In the dark about spray equipment. Thats what led to the writing of his book. This gives you all you need to know about several types of spray painting equipment and it zeros in on HVLP spayers. Thanks to this book I am now ready to purchase my spray unit. Don't pass it up!
