Suspense

Ashley Sorenson the DCS caseworker assigned to Matthew a boy with Downs Syndrome was not my favorite character as the story opens. Her ideas/prejudices on people with Downs Syndrome really bothered me because I personally know a few people with DS and they are not like what she perceives. As the story progresses she struggles with what she perceives is right and what is true. There is a lot of personal growth in her character. The book has a strong faith element, reflects that God created each of us in His image and that He can/will use each of us to His glory, there is a lot of suspense and danger, and forgiveness and redemption with a little romance. You will feel emotionally engaged by the time you finish this book.
