Sophisticated Ignorance

Without the restraints of better judgment....

I wrote a book....

and released it.

To be honest, the title is supposed to be ironic (and I'm probably ruining the irony by mentioning that), and a bit of an excuse. Not entirely. But more than just a little. It gives me permission to say just about whatever I want without any real accountability. "Sophisticated Ignorance". It sounds calculated. But do I even know what I'm talking about? Well obviously, right? I wrote an entire book for crying out loud. "Sophisticated Ignorance". It sounds like the kind of thing someone comes up with after they've sat with the world long enough to gain enough revelation to feel as though they've arrived at some profound conclusion, while still trying to come across as humble as possible. As if the title earned its way onto the cover of my book through years of hard earned experience.

But the reality is that I've only just gotten here. Nineteen years. That's like nothing. Every day I'm learning just how much I don't know about anything. I've just developed a habit of sounding like I might.
