Sons From Afar

By: Booth, Columba

Haunted by her father's murder years before, Penny guards her family. But when her husband becomes Security Director for a church on the US border, she must participate in a ministry to mysterious border crossers-the demographic she fears most.

Threatening conversations and the ministry's menacing power raise Penny's suspicions. Why do some of her new immigrant friends disappear, leaving no trace? How did the unaccompanied children, who came to the ministry after crossing the border alone, wind up in such a desperate situation? Who are their mysterious sponsors? As Penny uncovers the ministry's dark schemes, her faith reaches a breaking point.

Then, her daughter rides home, carrying a lost child with peace in his eyes-and Penny must choose.

Will she trust God? Or her walls?
