This book was written by my grandfather. Growing up he was just that, my grandfather. When he died, this book was still in the process of being edited by my grandmother and uncle Joe. I remember during the raucus party/memorial we had for Marsh, people were going in and out of Marsh's room looking at the galley's for the book. Months later when I received my copy I was thrilled to finally see a side of my grandfather I had never seen. Reading the book was a total joy for me. I was able to see into his life and suddenly everything about him made more sense to me. I loved the way he articulates history in a way that makes even young people enjoy the tale. I found the book to be readable, funny, and totally entertaining, just like my grandfather. I hope anyone who is interested in the joy of history will read this simple memoir and perhaps explore his other works too!
