While Ann's brother Mike chases inconsistencies back in Pennsylvania, Ann is left to work out what her client isn't telling her, and which of the strangers circling them aboard ship is not what they seem. The dead want to be heard. The living want something else entirely. And as an Atlantic storm closes in around the ship, Ann begins to suspect that her gift for speaking with the dead may not be enough to keep her among the living.
