Couldn't put this book down!

I read this book in 8 days, it was so enjoyable. It was very true to life, as I am a military wife I can understand the characters and what they are going through. For anyone who wants to find out what military life can be about read this book.

This book is taunting me at my desk...

As I type this, I'm sitting at my desk in need of completing a million things but I found myself googling this author to find out what else she's written...and I haven't even finished reading the book yet. She appreciates her readers, gentley unfolding the plot and characters. Siri is an awesome story-teller.

Great Read!

This was a wonderful book. I could hardly put it down. It was a more heavy read then Kissing Adrien, but I enjoyed it just as well. I didn't want the book to end. I found myself imagining the lives of the characters after the end of the book. Siri Mitchell knows how to weave a wonderful tale and at the same time challenging the reader to be a bettter person after they finish the book.

So different, romantic, and impossible to put down!

I confess, I was home sick, so I read this book straight through from start to finish, a rare luxury for me. I found myself enthralled with the four couples. I loved the flashbacks and how the author "showed" each of the couples meeting and falling in love. Plus, the author's omnicient POV was intriguing, because it allowed the reader the opportunity to know what both parties were thinking in any given scene. I've never seen that style done well before, so bravo! My favorite line..."Ever wonder what it would be like to make love on the beach?" Four great love stories wrapped in one awesome book. I also loved how the author brought out many of the false teachings from the LDS religion, and how Anne challenged Karen on her beliefs regarding the mark of Cain and other doctrine contrary to biblical Christianity. I would've liked to have seen that resolved more before the story ended. I found the emotional struggles that the four women endured believable because they all had common ground...being military wives. Extremely well done. This book was about love, sacrifice, faith, friendship and trust. The only issue I had with this novel was that it ended. WAH! I wanted to keep reading. I'm praying for a sequel because I feel like I just lost several of my closest friends.

be prepared to lose a day

If you decide to read the first page, be prepared to lose a day of your life, because you won't put this book down. Siri Mitchell is an enchanting and masterful writer. Whether or not you are a military wife, you will find someone to relate to in this book. And will probably relate to each of the four protags at least once. This was a world I regretted leaving. Totally different from her other works, but with the same ability to delve into the human psyche, Siri scores again.
