At first, Tori struck me as a tortured or lost soul; someone who had no interests or passion for anything. Then when she met Michael, everything started gradually and unknowingly changing. Her interest in Michael was adorable and the saying “opposites attract” definitely applies here. When I say opposites attract, I’m not talking about Beautiful Disaster by Jamie Maguire; that’s a whole different league. What I mean is Michael finds Tori intriguing even though she doesn’t see herself that way but with his help, she slowly starts getting out of her shell. I can relate to Tori ALOT. I went through so many emotions reading this book: hope for Tori and Michael, anger at Becky, sympathy for Lucas in the beginning because he just seemed shy and awkward, hope that Becky would realize she was just an awful friend; you know, the usual emotions. I didn’t want to put this book done, yes I loved it that much. Well done👏
Disclaimer: This book does talk about mental health if anyone’s triggered by that but it’s done well in my opinion.
