Excellent book!

This book covers a very thorough discussion on basics of Solid State Physics, starting with crystal structures, symmetry, bonding, x-ray diffraction, and then moves forward with discussion on electronic structure. Eventually it ends with discussion on some of the advanced topics such as high temperature superconductivity. The language is lucid, and even a non-expert can self study the book and learn Solid State Physics. A very unique book that can be equally useful for basic sciences as well as engineering students; theoretical as well as experimental physicists!
