Still on target and great fun to read!

A compact, well written, and delightfully illustrated historical survey of a great human hope that refuses to die. Includes brief and lively introductions to radical women like Flora Tristan, Louise Michel, and Rosa Luxemburg as well as to a number of their male comrades in the continuing struggle for grassroots democracy and freedom. Well worth a quick skim-through and a slower re-read. A short bibliography offers several good suggestions fur further reading. All in all, a feisty little volume that might just inspire you to start organizing together with your fellow earthlings and to change the world! Readers who find "Socialism for Beginners" of interest are also likely to enjoy "The Case for Socialism" by Alan Maass, "Marx: A Beginner's Guide" by Andrew Collier, "Marx in Soho" by Howard Zinn, "How Marxism Works" by Chris Harman, and "Revolution, She Wrote" by Clara Fraser.
