Interesting Read!

I really got into this book. It was quick paced and an interesting storyline. Felt like I knew the characters. Do yourself a favor and get this book! Ms. Hampton did her thang!

THE LADY HAS CLASS...VERY WELL SAID

While I've known this author for a little over a year and she's become one of my favorite authors, I too am disappointed by those who call themselves fans. With fans like the previous reviewers, who needs enemies? As a "true fan" I know for a fact that Ms. Hampton does not have to scam anybody to sell a book. Her books are G O O D! and will sell no matter what. A few months ago I received an email that was sent to many of her readers informing us that My Bestfriends Man was coming out as Slick. She informed us that if we already had purchased it, there was no need to buy it again unless we chose to add it to our book collection. I bought Slick because I love her books and the new cover was dynamite. As a "true fan" I visited her website and the announcement was there. Yes, it was confusing to me because I know very little about publishing and I do understand how some might be confused. HOWEVA, to call yourself a fan and stoop low with those reviews are ridiculous. Ms. Hampton didn't even owe y'all the respect to respond but that's what makes her the person she is. I'm not gonna reply further, but no doubt, the shame is on you. Slick, My bestfriends man, or whatever the heck it is, it's the BOMB! I'm reading Still Crazy, highly recommended by Ms. Hampton and thats the bomb too.

Just Nasty!

This book made me mad, but it was sooooooo good! I too read it in a couple of days. Ladies, watch your so-called girlfriends. You never know, but they just might be after your man...especially if they feel you don't deserve him. This book was a true page turner. I would recommend this anybody.

She's got a good man who loves her dearly and would do anything for her. Kind of like what you want. Instead of reciprocating, she's cheating on him with a loser ten years her junior. You repeatedly try to convince your girl to stop cheating. She just tells you to mind your own business and continue to cover for her. You're getting more and more irritated with your best friend. You think Jonathan deserves better. And he is becoming suspicious. So what do you do when he comes to you for answers? What do you do when your best friend's man comes to you for comfort? What do you do? You . . . As with her other novels, Brenda has done it again! It's not often that you come across an author that is consistently putting it down the way she does. And she just keeps getting better. I was immediately drawn into this web of deceit and couldn't put it down. One day. I finished the book in one day. While I in no way condone hooking up with your friend's man (a definite no no and rule #1 amongst friends) or cheating on your spouse ~ the story was told in a way that you understood (not agreed) with the reasons for their actions. Great book!. If you haven't read any of Brenda's books - you better ask somebody!! **Support the AUTHOR, not the PUBLISHER!**
