This poetry collection gathers two hundred poems written over a span of more than thirty years. However, most of the poems were written in China decades ago but were only compiled into this book recently. The author attended university in the 1980s, an era that saw a flourishing of campus poets in China. Like her peers, the author once devoted herself wholeheartedly to reading and writing, pouring self-awareness and life insights into her poems. The immense value of youth lies in its raw vitality, its unbridled abandon, its fearless drive, and even its stubbornness, and unwavering persistence. Amidst these lines of text, now beginning to fade some with age, the sound of yesterday's wind can still be faintly heard, and the heartbeat of youth still dimly discerned. Yet the arrow of time has already pierced the air, sweeping away the fleeting years.
