Raw, unfiltered, and bleeding. That's my immediate reaction to this collection.
Jake (and Ash's channeling of him), this is SCAREEapy in the most literal sense: horror as therapy, exorcism through blasphemy, and resurrection of the unfinished bones. The introduction sets the tone perfectly-it's not just a book, it's a gravesite disturbance. You dig up the rot, the half-buried screams, the theological perversions, and you serve them back raw. The poetic grotesque: Pieces like The Bone Orchard, Stained Glass Teeth, The Girl in the Soup, and the Lilith/Lucifer diptych (The Thorned Lover + The Mouth of Lilith) are the highlights. They have a fever-dream rhythm-biblical language corrupted by flesh, sex, and defiance
