What kind of mom swipes her son's new skateboard? A SKATEBOARDING MOM, of course Will her son ever get his skateboard back? More importantly, what will mother and son learn about each other as they "roll" through this high-energy, heart-warming book? This charming parent-child story will delight all ages.
My preschoolers were a little surprised that the Mom was a skateboarder, which made this book all the more meaningful in my opinion. It is fun and engaging. The children requested it several times.
Great book for moms and kids

I originally borrowed this book from the library and read it to my five-year-old and two-year-old (both girls) and they loved it. It's well-written (fun rhymes and easy to follow) and the graphics are great, too. I especially love that the story shows women who are "cool" and unconventional - it proves moms can get in on the fun, too. In fact, I liked it so much I bought a copy for my daughter's preschool and for our house library.
This book a big hit at our story time!

This is a fabulous read aloud book. The text is very rhythmic and the rhymes are very natural sounding. Whenever it is checked in, I invariablly have a kid grab it and ask me to read it at our local library story time. Oh, the story is good too. It makes kids thing about what their mom did prior to having kids--that maybe once she was cool.
