written with a orginal style, it gave an interesting insight

I found this book very interesting in some parts and boring in others. Joan lingard captured the essence of the three girls' realtionship and innocence in a way of such reality it's truly amazing. I especially enjoyed the way Joan Lingard expressed the different religions and the views on them. "Teresa I could not epect to share my religon: her own was too important, but Rosie she was not religous." I thought this book showed how their friendship brought them together and their religon separated them. A very well written novel which I would reccomend to any who was interested in a fictional look at Ireland read.
