Laurence Kerr Olivier, Baron Olivier, OM, born on 22nd May, Nineteen '07, Dorking, Surrey, England, UK, was an actor and director, who dominated the British stage of the mid-20th century, along with his contemporaries Ralph Richardson and John Gielgud. Olivier also worked in films for most of his career, playing more than 50 movie roles, and had considerable success in TV roles during his later career.
