Torn Between Lovers

Vanessa Cain's life is in turmoil. Her fiancé was found murdered in a compromising position. Her reputation has been destroyed by the media. The man she truly loves walked out on her. Her fiancé's ex-wife is threatening to kick her out of her South Beach condo and someone is following her. Vanessa's experienced one disastrous relationship after another. Her baby's father had an addiction she was unaware of until further in the relationship and when she told him she was pregnant, he wanted nothing to do with her or their baby. Her fiancé neglected to tell her he was still married and that he was cheating on her with someone else. However, the drama doesn't end there. A marriage proposal from an ex-boyfriend could end her financial problems and offer her and her daughter security, or she could follow her heart and choose the man that holds the key to it. SINGLE MAMA'S GOT MORE DRAMA is drama, suspense, and romance with a hidden message. I was held captive from the beginning to the end. The characters are vivid and the story flowed never missing a beat. I look forward to reading more of Perrin's books. Reviewed by Sharon Lewis of The RAWSISTAZ(tm) Reviewers

Good but disappointed with the ending

I love Kayla Perrin's books and this book was very good. However, I was disappointed with the ending. I guess there will be another book added to this series because Single Mama's Got More Drama leaves you hanging at the end. I definitely recommend it and can't wait for the next book.

This book was great and I would recommend this and the entire Baby Mama series to any and everyone

I Hope Vanessa finds some sense in book 3.

I love Kayla's writings and had been looking forward to this sequel. My only disappointment in this book was that we have to wait yet again for another sequel to see what happens to ditzy Vanessa next. I enjoyed this book, but I must say Vanessa isn't the brightest sista. I don't say this because of her choice in men, but her rationale. I find myself wanting to smack her at times and placing the word DUH on her forehead because she is so clueless. This book is a very quick read. I guess now i'll just have to wait for the next sequel which should be called "Single Mama's Got More Drama Than Yo Mama and Yo Mama and Yo Mama Put Together".

amusing tale

In Miami Vanessa Cain remains in shell shock from the betrayal and murder of her cheating fiancé, retired Atlanta Braves star Eli Johnson see SINGLE MAMA DRAMA). However, she tries to move past the scandal, but Eli's vengeful widow Tassie still battles her over who owns the condo Vanessa and her daughter Rayna shared with him. Others are also making life miserable for Vanessa starting with her boss, Debbie, who is ecstatic over an affair she is having. Hollywood wants to make a TV movie of Eli's story with her portrayed as an idiot. Rayna's father Byron McLean suddenly wants joint custody after having nothing to do with their kid. Finally her pre-Eli boyfriend Lewis Carter proposes marriage. Worse she remains attracted to motivational speaker Chaz Anderson, who seems somewhat interested, but she fears not enough Vanessa obviously suffers from the Mark of Cain as she got more drama than a soap opera queen. The story line in some ways feels more like a series of vignettes as the heroine goes from one disaster to another with so many that are not even in her lane the reader loses empathy for Vanessa. Still this is an amusing tale as the audience will understand how the lead protagonist feels as her life seems more like a pin ball game with tilt being the only respite. Harriet Klausner
