Sweet and romantic

Christie Ridgway is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite authors. She delivers a great romance every time. Her characters are very likable and have great chemistry and this one is no different. The heroine is sweet and adorable. The hero is brooding and protective and to die for. Together they set off fireworks with just a look at each other. The kisses are nearly hotter and steamier than the actual sex scenes. Ridgway has a talent for building the sexual tension to a fever pitch without the H/h even touching. Phoebe is single and is temporary guardian to her step-brother's newborn. Jackson is her next door neighbor who just wants to live alone and drift along in his solitary life. He suffered as a teen when his younger brother and sister were taken from him and adopted out after their mother died. He has shut himself off from relationships since. But, Phoebe needs his special way with kids to calm her constantly crying nephew. As with every Ridgway book I have read, I recommend this one.
