There are two problems with owning a family business. The first is when there's no family. The second is when there's no business. My parents left big shoes for me to fill when they passed away. In fact, they left me everything. Except any clue as to how to run their Lake Michigan lodge, or reasons to keep trying in the face of utter ruin. I love Kerby Lodge. But running it? Not so much.
