Poppy Lewis is in for a rockin' ride when a washed-up and aging rock band takes up residence at her bed-and-breakfast. They're hard at work on their comeback album, and Poppy's got her hands full keeping this group of middle-aged musicians from plucking her last string.
When the lead singer gets zapped to death during rehearsal at the local community center, Poppy suspects more than just an electrical mishap. And when the band's manager threatens to sue to the town for negligence, Poppy has to act fast to avoid a costly lawsuit. With a little help from the town's furry mayor, she's on the hunt for the singer's assassin.
Meanwhile, a charity male beauty pageant has the ladies of Starry Cove deep in competition with one another. The entrants are squared, and the battle is on, but not before Poppy's wily housekeeper throws her for a loop or two first.
