a real surprise!!

the first book about cindy.i was surprised when they introduced her so quikly!s ammy is saying good night to shining her beloved thoroughbred mare when she checks on 2 orphan foals to find a girl that she doesnt know sleeping in the stall!!!!at first the girl scrambles to her feet and begs for forgivenes.sammy notices that she looks really tired so she offers the girl to come and stay with her and her father ian.when ian wakes up the next morning,he calls the orphanage and asks about her.it turns out that she has run away from several foster homes.the orphanage says that they will try to find a new home for cindy.while she is staying at whitebrook sammy discovers that she is a natural horsewomen.will the mcleans be able to adopt her?!my favorite part of the book was when sammy was teaching cindy how to ride.i hope you enjoy this book as much as i did!

The best!

I loved this book!! I think it would be very surprising to go into the barn to check on your horse and find a girl in the stall next to your horse!! I really hate it when Angelique tries to steal Tor from Samantha. I think the Thoroughbred series books are very emotional. They make you feel like you are one of the characters. I have read #1 through #12, and one Super Edition, and I have really liked them all. I seriously recommend this book and the rest of the series!!! If you haven't read this book, you should!!!

GREAT SERIES

I'm a little new to the Thoroughbred series--but I'm definetly planning on reading more. I've read #1, #2, #5, #6, #7, and #16, and I'm asking for more for Christmas because these books rock! However, I'm disappointed to find out that Christina and Cindy are snobs. Cindy seemed really nice in #16, and it's too bad she becomes a jerk later. I'm glad that Joanna's back, though, so she can fix the series and amazingly make Christina and/or Cindy better people. I'm also hoping to get CASSIDY'S SECRET as well. Out of all of these books I've read, they are fantastic. THey're about horses, well-detailed and the characters(most of them) are kind at heart.

An Awesome,awesome book!!!!!!!!!

I have always loved the Thoroughbred series!!!This book was no exception!!!It is awesome!!!I recommend it to anyone and everyone!!My only problem with this series is that once the Samantha books started they hardly talked about Ashleigh and once the Cindy books started they hardly talked about Samantha.I haven't read any of the books about Ashleigh's daughter but I'm assuming it's the same. But I don't have too many other complaints. One is that they don't talk much of Mr.Wonderful or Townsend Princess or Precocious. And I don't think it would hurt to mention Wonder and Fleet Goddess or any of the other retired champions more often, would it??But I still think that these books are awesome!!!!!READ,READ,READ!!!!!!!!!!!
