The Cassel sisters have little in common besides a pair of wacky parents and a maddening knack for eluding happily-ever-after endings. But when their lives require damage control, only a dose of... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I just read Mommy Tracked and I loved it so much that I wanted to read this one and it was wonderful as well. The sisters are very interesting and there's a seriousness and uniqueness (is that a word?) to Gaskell's "chick lit" that stands out from the rest. It's a refreshing read and I had a really hard time putting it down. Sophie's character was funny. I was laughing out loud at some of her thoughts. Now I can't wait to read her other books!
Appealing, amusing stories about love and family

This book is divided into thirds so that Paige, Sophie, and Mickey Cassel, get to tell you their own stories. Paige is a successful divorce attorney who recently got divorced herself. She is determined to start dating again. Paige tries to be a one night stand type of person but finds she cannot do that. Sophie is driven crazy by her hormones during her pregnancy and after their baby Ben is born. Aidan, her husband does his best to cope. Everyone thinks brainy little sister Mickey is going to medical school; but she has other plans. In addition to their hectic lives; their divorced parents are getting married. A well-written novel that keeps you enchanted until the very last page.

The best Gaskell novel to date

I thoroughly enjoyed Whitney Gaskell's first 2 novels, but I think this 'She, Myself & I' is her best yet. The book is broken into 3 section, each from the standpoint of one of the sisters. Each sister has a unique and lovable personality and works through a difficult situation with some help from her sisters. Whitney gives wonderful depth to her characters and story and I found myself laughing out loud many times. My particular favorite is Sophie who is challenged by pregnancy and then early motherhood and the hormones that go with both. I couldn't put this book down and can't wait for her next one.
Whitney Gaskell's Best Yet

Whitney Gaskell just keeps getting better. Her first two books, Pushing 30 and True Love (And Other Lies), were terrific, and her latest work doesn't disappoint. She, Myself and I is written in three parts from the perspective of each of the Cassel sisters, Paige, Sophie, and Mickey. The reader is drawn into the world of each of them while the story weaves together as a satisfying whole. The author nails the unique relationship between sisters who both drive you crazy and are your most loyal supporters, and I found myself nodding my head and laughing throughout. The author's writing is sharp and clever, creating smart, funny characters you care about, and a story that keeps you turning the pages. A fun, feisty book that will leave you looking forward to her next.
