Excellent Book!

Excellent read. Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down. The story is action packed and kept my attention throughout the entire book. I would highly recommend reading this book!

Well Worth Reading

I really enjoyed reading this historical romance set in the Civil War era Deep South. Unlike many Civil War novels, the story centers on the women who were left behind. The story moves along at a fast pace. It is unpredictable with enough twists and turns to keep me wondering what is going to happen next. The characters are well drawn and the author avoids the common problem in romance novels of stereotyping. The reader cares what happens to the characters. The author obviously took great care to research the era so that the novel has the feel of authenticity. Because the book kept my interest, it was fast reading. It would be the perfect novel to take on a long trip.

Great historical Epic!

I don't normally read this genre but this book was recomended by a friend, I liked it so much I might start. I really enjoyed the love story between the two main characters but I loved how it was intertwined with civil war history. It was a perfect mix of history and romance.
