Seven Men in a dark room standing around a man tied to a chair. One by one they each begin to inject a lethal dose into his veins. They are a group designed to dispose of people that the leader, known only as 'One' selects. However, this man's murder goes wrong when someone comes upon him before he died.

A young woman, Joan Castor, only set out to find out where her uncle had been disappearing to. Instead, she finds him, shot and dying, in a burning house far away from where he should have been. She too would have been killed in that fire if it hadn't been for an unknown man who pulled her out.

When she wakes up, she finds that she has been left in a town far from where she'd found her uncle. She couldn't remember what happened, who had pulled her out of the fire but soon she realizes that someone has a strong interest in her. This someone only takes the shape of a black clothed figure that begins to hound her. Wherever she goes, she is more than aware of the unseen's presence and of how he manipulates her into doing whatever he wants.
