How far are you willing to go for revenge?
For Fareydun, the answer may cost him his soul.
When the tyrant King Zohak destroys everything he holds dear, the young warrior is left with nothing but grief-and a burning hunger for vengeance. Determined to see the monster king fall, Fareydun gathers a ragtag band of mercenaries and rebels and begins a relentless march across the provinces of Persia. Villages whisper his name. Armies hunt him. And wherever he goes, chaos follows.
But the road to revenge is never simple.
As Fareydun wages war against Zohak's forces, darker threats begin to surface. Enemy soldiers are only the beginning. The restless spirits of the dead haunt the land, ancient powers stir in the shadows, and Ahriman-the devil himself-watches with growing interest. Each battle drags Fareydun deeper into bloodshed, forcing him to confront a terrifying possibility: the more he fights the tyrant, the more he begins to resemble him.
With the fate of a kingdom hanging in the balance, Fareydun must decide whether revenge is worth the price-or whether the monster he seeks to destroy is already growing within him.
Serpents in the Kingdom of Light is a dark reimagining of a legendary Persian myth, blending epic fantasy, ancient folklore, and the haunting question of what vengeance truly costs.
