Monday September 10, 2001, a beautiful day in New York. Ari Fliakos, Pastor for the Church of Christ Repentant, leaves St. Jean Chrysostome, his small chapel situated on the second lower basement floor of WTC tower 1. He barely gives a thought to the last phone call he received from one of the lost souls he attempts to heal through his "spiritual hotline". And yet, it was a strange call indeed. After mumbling in a strange language, Angela Wayne, the lost soul in question, began to recite a long list of names, 2985 to be exact, only one of which Ari recognized: his own. The Pastor will never hear of Angela Wayne again. The next day, Tuesday, September 11th, 2001, soon after arriving at work in the chapel, he is crushed in the collapse of WTC Tower 1. Three years later, agents Pills and Grossmann, brilliant elements in the 9/11 Study and Surveillance team, come across a curious audio recording. The voice of a woman reciting the names of all the victims of the attack on the WTC. Was she crazy? Perhaps. But Andy Grossman is certain of one thing: the call was made before the most deadly terrorist assaults in modern history.
