Davies Tamuno-Emine, a Nigerian Biochemistry scholar, goes on a quest for how God communicates with His own. Using in-depth research and personal experiences, the author contends that the way God communicates with His own can be counterfeited by the Devil. He therefore warns that a belief in dreams, visions and miracles without testing them can be dangerous. This is because many are marginalized and even urged to do the unimaginable by false prophets and teachers who succeed in perverting and corrupting the minds of their congregants with fake or deceitful miracles and visions.
The idols of miracles and visions are not good substitutes for the word of God, the Bible. If Christians want to create a vibrant new faith for good life, they should, perhaps, ponder the instructions of God as written in Joshua 1:8. The Bible says:
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein....''
This shows that every Christian is admonished by God to always read the Bible and find out what it specifically says about any teaching, prophecy, vision, miracle or dream before accepting any of such as coming from the Almighty, who is all-knowing.
