Don't expect a The 3-Body Problem experience

The production quality is quite impressive. The story is very short and by no means approaches levels of depth associated with the author. I bought this because his other work left me looking for more. I have never read a graphic novel before and won't be buying the others in the series. I read it in about ten minutes and was a little disappointed that no deep questions or ruminations were elicited. It's like a comic book. A very well made, very short comic book. It features thick glossy pages and it even has a fold-out page. The artwork is O.K. I guess. It feels more like a collector's item for fans of Cixin Liu but had I not known he was the author, I never would have guessed. After and during reading his other works, I think a lot about what I read. That's great writing. After reading Sea of Dreams all I thought was that I was glad that the curiosity that I felt upon learning of the existence of this product had been satisfied. Maybe graphic novel fans will love it. I don't know.
