A crucial topic - even more important: this is the best!

Around early '95 I received a copy of this book in anticipation of doing a radio program on this subject. The book is unique. Perhaps the best on prevention and also if cancer is already present. Dr. Kradjian included world studies and that breast cancer is not prevalent in many parts of the world. In areas where high-fat diet is present, so is breast cancer. The chart on dietary fat and cancer incidences by countries gives this even more weight. Bob also backs this with migration studies when one moves from one country to another. Another key aspect of this piece is the chapter on the Harvard Nurses' Study. This is one of the biggest health studies ever and unfortunately as Dr. Kradjian points out, the conclusions are misleading; except that a high-fat diet results in a high incidence of breast cancer. Not surprisingly, my copy is with the program director of our local radio station in Portland, Ore. Her mother has been afflicted with BC :-(Mel in '99
