Love!

My name is Tricia, I live in a small town in the PNW, not too far from st helens either. When I was in 6th grade ('00-"01)we got orders from our teachers to go find a book to read in the class, I remember going to the class library I picked this Sasquatch out by reading the first page and sat at my desk to read it.. I remember I didn't want to put it down, I couldn't keep my mind off what would happen next.. I even dreamed about Sasquatch, how you described them.I remember that dream so vividly! I loved the adventure Dylan endured with buck and the Sasquatch. I recently got custody of an 11 year old going in to 6th grade herself, and purchased your book to read with her. Well, today I picked it up and started reading it again (roughly 18 years later. Give or take.) without her, and didn't set it down unless I had other duty's, I finished it in less than 24 hours and want more!

Wonderful to read to a class!

I read this book to my 3rd grade class! They were on the edge of their seats the whole time. They begged me to continue reading. They want a sequel! I highly reccomend it. I have just passed it on to my 10 year old to read and he doesn't want to put it down!

An exciting adventure based on three Northwest legends!

A 5th grade teacher in our school read "Sasquatch" to her class at the beginning of the school year, and suddenly it become the most requested book in our elemementary school library...the only problem was, we didn't have any copies...yet.Now that we have few copies, it's still one of our most requested books.Roland Smith has done an excellent job of weaving together three famous Washington State legends, the state where we live, into one extremely exciting adventure, that keeps building up to the very end. Two of those legends are--obviously--the Sasquatch and Mount Saint Helens, but you'll have to read the book to discover the third. To tell you now would spoil 1/3 of your fun in reading this thrilling book.Whether you consider this title realistic fiction or fantasy will depend entirely on your view of the Sasquatch (or Bigfoot). I prefer to see it as a fantasy, but that doesn't take away from the excitement of this book. This is a "guys" book, that girls will also enjoy reading.

Sasquatch

This book was awsome. It was a very interesting book ,it makes you just want to keep reading. There were so many cliffhangers I just couldnt stop reading it. Overall, I thought this book was great.

What A Great Book!

I think that this was a great action filled book. I couldn't put it down. When I first started reading this book I really got into it. What this book is about is the Sasquatch. The Dad in this story goes hunting with some of his bodies at work, when he gets his first look at Sasquatch. After that he becomes interested and fasinated about the creature and wants to learn more. His son is pulled along on this crazy adventure. He son doesn't believe his dad until he gets his own look at the massive creature. This book is an awsome Science Fiction and I suggest it to anyone that likes to sit down and read a good book.

This book is an unpredictable first-rate thrilling adventure

I loved this book. If you like unpredictable books, you'll like this. It's an adventure involving the myth, the good guy that turns bad, the real good guy, the bad guy, the suspicious one, and the kid who weaves them together. If you like Philip Pullman's The Golden Compass and The Subtle Knife, you'll love this! Pullman's books are similar to Smith's, but Smith's are easier to follow and Pullman's are a higher level of reading. This book is definitely near the top of my list.
