Sammy: ISIS creates their worst enemy: a survivor, a warrior child, a Christian

Hard-charging Lieutenant Colonel Williams--L.C. to his troopers-is commander of a patrolling M11117 armored vehicle unit in Syria. A supposedly peaceful Syria; except no one told the reconstituting ISIS.
A child steps into the road and waves down L.C.'s M1117. Against his driver and gunner's advice, he stops. And a massive I.E.D. explosion destroys the road in front of them, but not the M1117.
Grateful, L.C. and his soldiers take the orphaned boy, who turns out to 18-years-old, back to their small base and become his friend. Sami, or Sammy as his name is pronounced by Americans, unexpected speaks some English, from his British mother, and Arabic, from his almost-doctor Syrian father. He sleeps in a Syrian caf 's attic and becomes a spy for the Americans., saving L.C. in yet more actions. But Sammy has his own mission: finding his young sister taken by ISIS when they killed his parents...and disfigured Sammy himself.
Finding Sammy's sister in Turkey, L.C. repays Sammy by using a M11117 disguised as a Turkish police vehicle to rescue the sister. A rescue that goes awry and leads to L.C.'s not only firing as a commander, but untimely retirement.
Returning to the U.S. (with Sammy and his sister to help his boss cover up the "attack" on a NATO country) L.C. has to not only cope with a vastly different America, but Sammy's unveiling of a secret more explosive than the initial I.E.D. Sammy and sister Aisha are filled with wonder at the U.S. compared to Syria; a Holiday Inn more wonderous than a palace.
Then L.C.'s young, beautiful-and wealthy-wife gives him yet another "situation,"-she wants a divorce. L.C. reluctantly grants it, but his wife unexpectedly proves indecisive in filing. And a handsome suitor who lusts after both her and her money, proves more of a threat to L.C. than ISIS ever was. Sammy once again uses deadly Syrian talents in helping to protect L.C.
A pure love story weaves itself throughout L.C.'s adventuresome life.
