An account of the beginnings, the construction and dedication of the Saint Louis Missouri Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which culminated in June 1997. It includes details involved and difficulties overcome in the site acquisition, the groundbreaking, and the temple design and construction. It tells of the public open house, attended by over a quarter million people including Missouri's governor, U.S. Senators and other government leaders as well as leaders of prominent churches, universities and businesses. The 19 dedicatory sessions are described. It also includes A brief history of the St. Louis area and history of The LDS Church in St. Louis are included. Of the more than 6,000 people required to accomplish these events, the names of those who played key roles in these events are mentioned. Importantly, the hand of The Lord Himself is acknowledged in making this temple possible.
