Des weiteren stellt das Werk Anderungen des Sachenrechts dar, die seit der Vorauflage in Kraft getreten sind (beispielsweise wurde der Abschnitt uber das Wohnungseigentum neu geschrieben). Die neue Rechtsprechung und Literatur zum Sachenrecht wird ebenfalls berucksichtigt.
