RX: Sanity After Civilization
The world didn't end all at once.
It emptied.
Months after the outbreak, Bellingham is divided by barricades, abandoned neighborhoods, armed survivors, and the remnants of institutions still pretending they are in control.
Kyle has one reason to leave his home: he is running out of psychiatric medication. Without it, sleep disappears, paranoia grows, memories intrude, and the world around him becomes harder to separate from the one forming inside his head. He sets out believing he can find what he needs and make it home.
The city has other plans.
Elsewhere, Leigh moves through the collapse with discipline, experience, and a need to keep control. But exhaustion, violence, and the people still giving orders begin to test how long that control can hold.
Both are trying to preserve the parts of themselves that once allowed them to function.
But civilization used to do more of that work than either of them realized.
The infected remain dangerous, but RX: Sanity After Civilization is not a story about defeating the dead. It is a psychological survival story about what happens when medication disappears, authority becomes arbitrary, coping mechanisms are pushed beyond their purpose, and people are left to decide for themselves what is normal, necessary, or unforgivable.
When society stops holding people together, survival becomes more than staying alive.
It becomes a question of what remains of us when nothing is left to keep us together.
