Death was just a critical error. Now, he has to debug the afterlife.
Elias Thorne died at his desk, chasing a memory leak in the highly anticipated Aetheria project. Instead of finding peace, he wakes up trapped inside his own half-finished, glitch-ridden game.
He has no gear, no class, and a Strength stat that categorizes him as a "Potato." Worse, the world is falling apart. Textures are failing, gravity is inverting, and an automated garbage-collection process known as the "Null" is deleting entire sectors of the map to save memory.
But Elias has one advantage: he knows the source code.
Guided by a corrupted, highly sarcastic tutorial fairy named Byte, Elias discovers that he doesn't need a sword to survive. By exploiting hitbox errors, adjusting integer overflows, and hacking local variables, he begins to climb the system's developer permission tiers.
As he gathers a party of self-aware NPCs-including a High Elf Ranger trapped in a pathfinding loop-Elias realizes this isn't just a survival game. The NPCs are real, the pain is simulated perfectly, and the Null is coming for the root directory. Elias must hack his way to the Capital and unlock administrative access before the world experiences a total format.
