I borrowed this book from the library. After I read it, I liked it so much I purchased a copy. The book is short-- only 96 pages. However, it contains a lot of information for beginning and intermediate runners trying to get to the next level. It includes information on determining your own heart rate, appropriate amount of water to drink based on gender, weight, and difficulty of workout, foods that contribute to optimal performance, stretching exercises, and beginning and intermediate training programs for 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and marathon. It also has a handy index.
