Fellag was born in Kabylie in 1950. A dramatist, comic and screenwriter, he has been compared to Dario Fo, Charlie Chaplin and Vittorio Gassman. His work has been universally acclaimed by critics the world over.

This street can't be found on a map. It is a patchwork of several small segments of different streets where I have lived. If it really existed, I wouldn't have gone to the trouble to invent it.
I lived episodically in several popular sections of Paris where I met some of the most beautiful souls on earth, some eccentric, some reserved, but all heart-warmingly authentic. The Little Guy s Street is their story.
I wanted to tell about Farid, and his crazy dream of a house in the sun that he'll never be able to afford then a guy named Akli, owner of the bar around the corner George the landlord and his fake racism Serguei s music and the half-secrets of Margaret who no longer loves her husband.
These cosmopolitan characters, anchored in real life, are the basis for this enactment of a singular humanity in which diverse human destinies mingle in a beautiful but sometimes terrifying alchemy.
