Fran?ois-Th?odore Licquet, born on 19 June 1787 in Caudebec-en-Caux and died on 1 November 1832 in Rouen, was a French curator and local historian. Licquet did his first studies, as a scholarship holder, at the Coll?ge Louis-le-Grand, in Paris, and finished them at the Prytan?e de Saint-Cyr. He soon abandoned the career of commerce in Rouen into which his family had pushed him at the end of his studies. For some time he fulfilled the functions of assistant secretary of the town hall of Rouen, which were for him a transition to occupations more in keeping with his tastes and more in harmony with the work and thoughts of his youth.
