A sardonic fictionalized stream of consciousness true story. We follow our hero, Rory, as he arrives in 1970's Hollywood, determined to make a name for himself. He launches into writing a screenplay based on a very famous book. He doesn't know what he doesn't know. Before too long, he discovers he has been hoaxed by his new best friend and all that he thought was real is fake. He attempts to salvage the project, with initial surprising success, but alas, there are some pretty big sharks in the water.
