Uplifting read!

Lisagor's book is an uplifting read! Accessible to Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike, it shares good life lessons and offers wisdom to live by. Each chapter is heart-felt and moving.

Buddhism for People Who Love a Good Story

I'm not very good at explaining things to people, since I'm a writer. When an old friend from my high school days visited me recently, I thought she might have questions about my Buddhist practice, since I'm an SGI member and have an altar prominently displayed in my livingroom. I had left Mike Lisagor's book, Romancing the Buddha, on an end table in the livingroom after finishing it. While waiting for me to get up the last morning she was visiting, she picked up the book and began to read. I came downstairs to the sound of her happy chuckles, which opened up a dialogue between us. Mike tells a really good story and the philosopy of Nichiren Buddhism shines through his tales.
