Book Overview

INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER from the author of His & Hers, now a #1 Netflix show, and the hit bestseller My Husband's Wife
"Feeney lives up to her reputation as the "queen of the twist". . . This page-turner will keep you guessing." --Real Simple
Think you know the person you married? Think again. . .

Things have been wrong with Mr and Mrs Wright for a long time. When Adam and Amelia win a weekend away to Scotland, it might be just what their marriage needs. Self-confessed workaholic and screenwriter Adam Wright has lived with face blindness his whole life. He can't recognize friends or family, or even his own wife.

Every anniversary the couple exchange traditional gifts--paper, cotton, pottery, tin--and each year Adam's wife writes him a letter that she never lets him read. Until now. They both know this weekend will make or break their marriage, but they didn't randomly win this trip. One of them is lying, and someone doesn't want them to live happily ever after.

Ten years of marriage. Ten years of secrets. And an anniversary they will never forget.

Rock Paper Scissors is an exciting domestic thriller from the queen of the killer twist, New York Times bestselling author Alice Feeney.

Alice Feeney does it again

Alice Feeney does it again. Rock Paper Scissors completely hooked me from the start with its endless secrets, twists, and mini cliffhangers that made it impossible to put down. Every chapter seemed to end with a new revelation or question, and I absolutely flew through it. The ending was such a surprise—I never guessed it. One of my favorite things about Feeney's books is how she consistently outsmarts me. I was convinced I had this one figured out, and I was spectacularly wrong. The setting was perfect. A remote, snowy mountain chapel converted into a getaway retreat created the ideal backdrop for the story. Feeney layered in subtle horror elements and gothic touches that gave the entire novel an unsettling atmosphere: a raging snowstorm, a power outage, stone tiles made from old gravestones, mysterious notes left behind, and a looming bell tower. The setting felt like a character itself, amplifying the tension and creepiness at every turn. If you enjoy twisty psychological thrillers that keep you guessing until the very last pages, Rock Paper Scissors delivers. It's clever, atmospheric, and wildly entertaining—a perfect reminder of why Alice Feeney remains one of my favorite thriller authors.

Not for me

The witticisms throughout the book are insufferable. Plot twists are predictable. Lots of unanswered points that the author seems to have just forgotten she wrote. The magical ending was entirely out of character for the rest of the novel.

What a great suspense. Worth the buy

Love the story line. Stayed up to finish it. What a great author

I enjoyed this story. Alice Feeney books also intrigue and keep me hooked. 10/10 recommend.

Alice Feeney books always keep me hooked. Intriguing with some curve ball twists. Always a good read.

Wtf

Wtf did i read! I loved this book! It actually got me. It had me disliking both sides, questioning everything. It was so good.

Good Mystery with twists and turns

It was a good book and had a good plot with some twists and turns. I don’t know if I just expected more from all the hype but it just didn’t get my jaw to drop.

I could not put this book down!

A true Psychological Thriller! I love the author's writing style; I look forward to reading more from her.

The ending ruined it

I couldn’t put this book down and then I got to the last 50 pages. The ending was so disappointing and didn’t make sense.

Did not enjoy this one

I normally like the multiple character point of views but this one was way too confusing, if you make it to the end you’ll understand why. Plus there’s no closing about what happens with the second wife. Not worth the time spent reading it.

So good.

This book kept me in awe the entire time. So many twists and turns. I literally could not put this book down!! Alice Feeney is an amazing author!

Thriller

This is a Psychological Thriller. I really enjoyed this book, and I could not put it down. I was pulled into this book, and I think it was written so well. This book keeps you guessing. The characters was not lovable, but that is how they are written. I did find parts of this book unbelievable, and I do not know why the characters keep going even if they did not believe what was going on. I won a Kindle edition of this book from a Goodreads giveaway. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
