Robots and Indian IT Employment

Robotics is a branch of new research and technology that deals with the design,

operation, construction, and application specially related to IT and Manufacturing field which

deals with the automation of the work process which are repeated and risky for humans. It was

first introducing in the world in a play called Rossum's Universal Karel (R.U.R) in 1920, by

Czech writer Karel Capex, the word robot is a Slavic word meaning forced labour/work. Then

onwards Robots were developed to do a difficult and dangerous task which human could do

with greater difficulty, in order to increase the efficiency and reduction in cost. This branch of

technology and now divided into hardware and software robots. Hardware robots are physical

Robots without any face and used to do physical task such Bomb disposal, welding, chemical

disposal and as car manufacturing etc., and the other are software robots are software

applications which also perform daily repetitive task which humans do on daily basis using

computers, calculators, and specially designed electronic systems, such as in banking, finance,

and office work etc., with an objective to increase the efficiency. The process of automating

the functional process is call (RPA) Robotics Process Automation. In my research I have

selected to research on the software robots process Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
