Triumph of not just the machine, but the man

This novelization of the movie by Ed Naha is great, and then some. I especially loved the part where Murphy uses the power relay to fry the crazy commands put into him by Dr. Faxx after Caine and his organization tear him apart. Yet despite the cops of Metro West being on strike they still come to his aid, and as he goes to see about destroying Caine's operation they all go into river rouge with Murphy. Though you can't blame the cops for striking after OCP chooses to ignore them so they can foreclose on Detroit. This novelization by Naha is one hell of a ride.

Excellent Novelization

It contains scenes which were not filmed, or cut from the theatrical release. Plus the sequence of events is SLIGHTLY different. the ending of the novel is much better than the ending of the movie.
