Ride Wit Me

A author of bad decisions came to my school to talk to us about writeing books and she was giving this book, but I didn't get one, so I had my mother to buy becasue I wanted one to do my report. This book was right up my alley. I loved the story, I loved the people, and I happy that Mercedes and D got together in the end, becasue some boys don't deserve a good girl because they ain't no good, but Dalvin changed his ways in life and Mercedes could see the good person in him and she could see that he loved her. This book was special because the writer took in considaration of the younger generation who love to read these kinda books, so she made a clean version. She is also open the doors for the young writers who want to be authors someday. I just love this book and will share it with all my friends. Thank you Camile Rogers

this was excelent book

paula edwards came to our school and talk to the students. she is also a author and she gave me this book and told me i should read it. i am glad she did bcuz i was in the similar position as 'mercedes' and 'dalvin'. this book was good and i could share it with the teacher and read it with my mother without shame bcuz it has clean language with no cussing and best of all i got a B+ on my book report. :-> you should write more books katina and come to our school.

I WANT TO APPLAUD KATINA KING WITH THIS BOOK!FINALLY TEENAGE WILL HAVE A BOOK THEY CAN READ THAT IS ABOUT SUGAR PLUM FAIRIES AND BARNEY. TEENAGERS THESE DAYS ARE DEALING WITH A LOT OF THE ISSUES DISCUSSED IN THIS BOOK, RIDE WIT ME. I THINK PARENTS REALLY NEED TO REMEMBER AT THIS AGE WHAT EXACTLY THERE MIND FRAME WAS AT AND HOW THEY WERE AT THIS AGE INSTEAD OF TRYING TO SHELTER KIDS FROM IMPORTANT ISSUES. MERCEDES CLINTON IS A SIXTEEN GIRL WHO HAS EVERYTHING SHE COULD HAVE EVER WANTED. HER FATHER A KING PIN MADE SURE THAT SHE WAS GIVEN EVERYTHING HER HEART DESIRES. ONE DAY ON A ROUTINE RIDE TO THE MALL WITH HER COUSIN KEISHA SHE RUNS INTO DALVIN DEWITT WHO TURNS OUT TO BE HER FATHERS ENEMIES SON. FALLING IN LOVE AT FIRST THEY HAVE TO DEAL WITH HER FATHER'S DISAPROVAL. CAN THERE LOVE STAND THE TEST OF TIME OR WILL THEIR RELATIONSHIP GO UP IN SMOKE? GREAT JOB KATINA KING. I knew it would happen...I just didn't know who would (could) be creative enough to do it! Congrats to Katina King (Joy King) for being one of the first authors to accomplish it!! I'm talking about penning a street tale clean enough for the average young adult, yet interesting enough to hold the attention of the grown and sexy. Seventeen-year-old, Dalvin Dewitt Jr. has more street credibility than most men twice his age. And as we all know, with street cred, comes females looking for handouts. But Dalvin ain't having it. Despite of his bad boy image, he's looking for a "good" girl. Mercedes Clinton is not only the "good" girl Dalvin is looking for, but she's also DADDY'S good girl. When she and Dalvin, hook up, Daddy flips out! And so the story goes... We've all been in this situation, which makes Ride Wit' Me a relatable read to any adult. I must be honest, though, I tried letting my nine-year-old read it, and in the same breath, snatched it from her. I don't want her getting any ideas too early. *smile* Teenagers and up! Ride Wit' Me is hip, real, and NEW to the world of urban fiction. The start of a new trend, most definitely! Just watch and see! Way to go Young Diamond Books!!!!
