Rice and a Bowl of Boat II

By A. A. Glover

The story of Cleet and Hattie Marie continues.

Two years after walking off a Mississippi plantation, Cleet has built something impossible: a thriving whiskey distillery, a growing family, and a life that finally feels like his own. But peace draws enemies. Old grudges resurface, a riverboat showdown looms, and everything he built on the banks of the Mississippi is tested by men who never wanted him free in the first place.

Book II of the trilogy follows Cleet, Hattie Marie, and the family they gathered as they fight to hold on to everything freedom promised - and everything it still refuses to give.
