For every woman who feels stuck in her current life, there is now an answer: repotting This book is for 21st-century women who don't need a better daily planner--they need a better life. Diana Holman and Ginger Pape give you the answers to the question: How do I change my life? No matter where you are on your life's journey, you can apply the ten-step process and come away with a personal repotting plan. This book offers an interactive program with very specific exercises to enable you to tailor the repotting experience to your own circumstances. It also provides tests and exercises to help you determine your readiness to change, identify your priorities and goals, create a strategy, and make it all happen. You'll draw inspiration from stories about real women who have joined the repotting movement, and you'll be able to see yourself in the life of another repotter. If you're ready to make a radical departure from the status quo of your life, then repot, repot, repot Reading this book is the first step on your road to a better, more fulfilling life
If you've ever felt restless or a little dissatisfied with the way your life is going, if you sense it's time for a change but aren't sure exactly what it is you want, if you keep promising yourself this is the year you'll finally (fill in the blank) and yet never somehow get around to making it happen, this book will get you moving. People can outgrow their current circumstances the way a houseplant can outgrow its pot. When that happens, it's time for "Repotting." This analogy is surprisingly apt. Like plants, we need light, nourishment, time and patience. We need to get rid of "weeds" that may be robbing us of space. As gardeners we need to be willing to tear everything up and start over if things aren't working out. According to authors Diana Holman and Ginger Pape, we should plan our lives with the same care we would use to plan a garden. They show how real women have faced and overcome common obstacles to change: the lack of time or resources, the need for further education or training, the courage to risk making mistakes. Although its focus is on women and the unique challenges we often face, anyone could profit from the suggestions in this book. There seems to be an insight on every page, but of course, insight is never enough. What I liked best was the detailed, step-by-step plan Holman and Pape offer to guide us on our way. With the help of a free downloadable workbook, the authors provide lots of thought-provoking exercises designed to get us from dreaming to doing. It's a mini course in self-transformation. Anyone who does all the homework is sure to find her life changed for the better. The contents include: Forward by Lynda Carter Preface "Repotting" by Gunilla Norris Introduction: Becoming a New You PART I: ARE YOU READY TO REPOT? Chapter 1: How Do You Know You're Ready? REPOTTING thinks of everything one must consider to make a change in life. Its simple, direct approach is so thorough, you don't have an excuse for omitting a crucial element when evaluating whether a major (vocational, job, etc) change is in your future or not. I only wish it was written a long time ago when I faced some adjustments in my life; my decisions would have been a lot less haphazard and much more realistic. Lucky women today can rely on REPOTTING's 10 steps and catapult themselves into the life they want to live. As a matter of fact, I believe its use goes beyond gender, so anyone (male, female, young, aging) would benefit from its program.
